Jihiken Festival 2026: Korean Speaker Sessions Interpreted into Japanese in Real Time

SAM WORLD provided real-time interpretation for the ASLS sessions at Jihiken Festival 2026, held at the TOC Building in Gotanda, Tokyo, Japan, on October 10, using SAM Conference. Korean-language lectures from two sessions led by Korean speakers were interpreted into Japanese in real time.

Translated subtitles were shown on dedicated monitors on both sides of the stage, and audience members could also follow the subtitles on their own smartphones by scanning a QR code. Discussions between speakers were held with each speaker joining through SAM Audience on their own mobile device.

At the event, Jihiken and THE GAME AI also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to collaborate on AI-powered medical simultaneous interpretation technology.

SAM WORLD will continue to apply AI interpretation and translation technology at medical academic events and in the field, creating an environment where medical professionals and experts can share knowledge and communicate regardless of language or location.
